Registration Time

Hello Parents;

The registration forms for next year are being sent out this week. Please let us know by the April deadline your intention for next year. We are trusting God for another increase in our enrollment. We are hoping to add another teacher if our numbers are up significantly. This would then allow us to add more programs or to divide a large class.

For those who were able to participate in Friday's ski trip to Nakiska I trust your trip was a safe on to and from the hill. The conditions that day on the hill were very good. Skiing in powder snow is always fun. Thank you to all who were able to make it out and a big thank you to Mr. Doerksen for all the work he did in planning the family day.

Our basketball season is wrapping up this week. Both boys and girls teams practice at Aldersyde on Wednesday and then the final game is being played at Trinity Christian Academy in Strathmore. Thank you to our parent coaches Mr. Chisholm and Mrs. Harbidge for dedicating their time to the teams. Our curling teams also wrap up their season on Wednesday and thank you to Mr. Doerksen and Miss Wolfe for coaching both the junior and senior high teams.

Our next sport is badminton and practices will get underway next week. This is a sport where players are divided up by age so we have 6 different divisions from grade 7 - 12 and within each division different categories. There are lots of opportunity for students to play on this team.

Rehearsals for our spring play will also be starting soon. Miss Wolfe has already started looking for cast members. The play is scheduled for Thursday, April 26.

A reminder that Monday, March 12 is a teacher's professional development day and there is no school for students that day. Our second term is quickly wrapping up and report cards will be sent home on Monday, March 19.

For our high school students, the selling of hanging baskets will get underway later this week. This is where students can raise money to help pay for the mission trip they went on this year or to save some money for next year's high school trip.

Thank you again for your support of Brant Christian. We are very fortunate to have Christian education for our children. It is a privilege that we enjoy and should never be taken for granted.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
