Graduation

Hello Parents;

May has turned out to be a beautiful month. After the snow stayed so long in April, to have so many warm days, now makes it easy to forget our long winter.

Congratulations go out to Miss Wolfe and her drama class. Their production of Peter and Wendy was a great success on Friday night. It took a lot of effort to put the play together and Miss Wolfe gave up many of her lunch breaks and recess time to bring the group together and in the end it was a great time. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Lisa Burgess for providing the snacks after the performance.

On Tuesday, 11 of our junior high students will be competing in a zone track meet in Lethbridge. Congratulations to Zach Lobdell who qualified last week to compete in the Provincial High School Track and Field Meet that will be held in Red Deer on June 1 & 2.

Please join us for our special Graduation Chapel on Wednesday, May 30 at 1:00pm.  All grades are participating and everyone is invited to help us celebrate the Class of 2018!

Friday June 1 will be a busy day as our Kindergarten through grade 4 students will be spending the day at the Calgary Zoo. On Friday night we will be hosting our official high school graduation. We have 7 graduates this year. Bethany Greidanus, EmilyAnn Lemieux, Janessa Nauta, Brieanna VanderMey, Nash Leggot, Ethan Lobdell and Will Ritz. The graduation ceremony will take place at the High River Baptist Church starting at 7 PM. We wish each of the grad students the very best in the future and God's blessing on each of them. Our prayer for them is that they will remain true to their faith. Thank you to the parents who kept their children at Brant for their high school education. The leadership role that high school students play in mentoring our younger students is very valuable. A vibrant high school plays an important part in keeping Brant Christian a growing and exciting school.

A reminder that on Tuesday evening there will be a parent/student meeting regarding next year's high school trip to Ottawa. The meeting will take place at the Full Gospel Church in High River starting at 7 PM.

To everyone who continues to support Brant Christian through your prayers, volunteerism and donations, thank you. Each of you play a valuable role in keeping our school the unique, Christian community that it is.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
