First Day Reminders

Hello Parents;

I want to remind you of the events for Tuesday and some upcoming activities. We invite all parents to join us for Tuesday morning. The students will spend their first 30 minutes in their homeroom classes and then gather in the gym for our first assembly. Our pancake breakfast will get underway at 9:30, please remember to bring lawn chairs with you. As long as it is dry and warm enough, we will eat out by the playground. Wet weather will have us eating in the gym. Classes will get underway by 11:00.

We are very encouraged by the number of new students we have joining us this year. Our students body has now grown to 116 and we are grateful for the number of new families who now call Brant Christian home.

As a school we are hosting a start of the year concert that will take place on Wednesday, September 14 at the High River Baptist Church at 7:00 PM. Joal Kamps will be the featured musician. There is no cost for the concert but we will take up a free will offering during the evening. There will also be an opportunity to purchase Joal's music that evening. Please plan to join us that evening and invite your friends to come with you.

Starting this year Brant Christian will be a peanut and tree nut free zone. We have a student who has a very extreme allergy to peanuts and to provide proper safety we need to make sure to keep peanuts and nuts out of the school building and school grounds. All students will be given more information from their homeroom teachers.

There is a very busy year ahead of us and as events approach we will keep you informed as to what is coming us next. Cathy will publish a monthly letter as usual and I will continue to post a weekly blog recounting the week and highlighting upcoming events. Karen Dees will keep you up to date on the Brant's facebook page (www.facebook.com/brantchristianschool) and the our website.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, always call us at school. We love to hear from you.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
