The Second Semester

Hello Parents;

This Monday marks the start of the second half of this school year. For our elementary and junior high students, there is really no change in their daily routine. It is our high school students who will be starting on some new subjects.

We want to congratulate our junior high basketball team on their victory from last week. The team has shown good progress since their start in December. This is the first win as a coach for Ronique Leggot, who is one of our high school students. We appreciate Ronique's willingness to volunteer her time and help with our junior high boys and girls. The next game is on Wednesday and will be played at Brant against Arrowwood.

On Wednesday of last week, the Grey Cup made an appearance at Brant Christian mainly because Jack Knight, Athlete in Action's director had some influence in the decision. Mr. Knight also brought a devotion for our students on being a champion. Josh, the head athletic therapist for the Stampeders and fellow believer, attended as well and spoke about his role with the team. It was a great experience for our students to touch the cup and listen to what Jack and Josh had to say.

A reminder that this Friday will be a day of school. February is a short month for days in school with the February break coming up from the 15th to the 24th. The annual Brant Christian Nakiska ski day takes place on Friday, March 8. This is a great time to get out with the family and enjoy a day of skiing with other Brant families and an even better time to introduce your children to the sport of skiing. If you have not received information regarding this event please contact the school.

Please continue to keep Brant Christian in your prayers. Starting in March, parents will be making presentations at their churches introducing Brant Christian to the families who atttend that church. We are in the process of developing a new brochure and video to go along with the presentations. Our open house will be held on Thursday, March 28 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Each Brant Christian family will be receiving some of our new brochures so that you can share them with neighbours who might be interested in having their children attend a Christian school.
