Our last week of school for 2016/17 is here. We will wrap up the school year on Wednesday, June28. The handing out of report cards will take place in the gym at 10:15 followed by our parent-child water balloon toss. The bbq will get underway at noon. All parents are encouraged to attend. On Tuesday the entire school is off to the Science Center in Calgary. Pick-up points will be the Full Gospel Church in High River and the Okotoks students will get on the bus at the Aldersyde Petro Canada station. These will be the drop off points at the end of the day as well.
We have added a new teacher to the staff at BCS. Chelsia Tung is a recent grad from the University of Calgary with degrees in Science and Education. Miss Tung will be the grade 5/6 teacher responsible for teaching Bible and the core subjects of LA, Social, Math and Science to this class. We are excited to have a new teacher join our growing school and look forward to having Miss Tung become a part of our community.
School years always go by quickly and this year is no different. Looking back we see how God continues to bless our school due in large part because of the faithfulness of our parents and our society board. If we continue to honour God, He will honour our efforts. Land for the new school will hopefully be released soon and we can get underway in planning a new building. I ask that you continue to pray for God's hand in this endeavor and for wisdom and understanding for our board as they move forward.
Our prayer for you as BCS families is that you would have a safe and very relaxing summer. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 5. We will start the year off with our traditional pancake breakfast. You can get in touch with us over the summer by e-mailing me at email@example.com or using the school e-mail. Both of these addresses will be checked on a regular basis during July and August.
Thank you for your support this year.
