This coming week will be an exciting one for many of our students. Our spring production takes place this Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 PM in the school gymnasium. I am looking forward to seeing our students on stage and to their performance. I know that it will be a very entertaining evening for all who attend. There will be no early dismissal that day. School will end at our regular time.
After the school play, there will be a bake sale held in the high school area. Money from this event will go towards the Ottawa trip that some of our high school students will be involved with from May 10 - 16
The next important date to keep in mind is the band instrument night on May 26. This is the night when students will be able to order their instruments for next year. With direction from our band leader, Danielle Fisk, students will place their order for rental of their instrument through a company out of Calgary called Long and McQuade. For students who will be in grade 5/6 next year, band will be a compulsory subject. For students in grades 7 - 12, band will be an option class. It is very important that all who will be in band next year are present for this meeting that will take place at the High River Full Gospel church starting at 7:00 PM
On Saturday, May 16, Brant Christian will be participating in the High River Little Britches parade. We will need some of our students grades 5 and up to walk along the parade route with our float and hand out candy to the children watching the parade. We are in need of some younger students to ride inside the float. Please contact me if you are willing to have your son/daughter participate.
The CTS trailer arrived at Brant on Friday. It will be up and running by Tuesday of this week. The trailer allows our students in high school to obtain credits that we would normally not be able to offer them. We will also allow our grade 7/8 students to participate as time allows and we will involve students in grades 5/6 if we can. When you come out to Brant please feel free to drop into the trailers located to the east of our school and talk to the teacher, Mr. Mallach.
Our next chapel will take place on May 6.
