Skating Time

Hello Parents;

This coming Friday, Dec. 4, we will be officially opening the start of another year of our skating rink. We will get underway at 2:30 followed by hot chocolate and snacks. This event is open to all students and parents. If you can join us please do. Even if you do not skate, come out for the hot chocolate and fellowship.

We will be having a school-wide secret Santa this year. Students from kindergarten to grade 12 will have their names put into the draw. We will be drawing the names this Wednesday, Dec. 2 with the gift exchange taking place on our last day of school before the Christmas break, Dec. 17. The names will be placed into one of two categories either boys or girls. Guidelines for the exchange; price range $5 - $10 or less. Baking is good. Must be new items only.

Thank you to all parents who made it out to the parent teacher interviews last week. It was good to spend time with you and discuss your son/daughter's school work. On Friday a number of our junior and senior high students left for Edmonton to tour our provincial capital. They arrived home safely Saturday night around 8:30 PM.

Last Thursday our junior high volleyball players travelled to Carmengay and Barons to play the last games of the season. Unfortunately they had some bus trouble  and were delayed and had to miss their first game. They did manage to arrive safely and return to Brant without any problems. Thank you to all parents who volunteered to drive throughout the playing season. Your help is appreciated.

This coming Friday, Dec. 4 is the High River Santa Claus Parade. Brant will have their float entered into the event and we will have our junior and senior high students walking beside the float. If you have a child in grade 1 our younger, we need children to ride in the float. Please contact me this week if you would be willing to have your child participate as a rider.

A reminder that our school Christmas production will take place on Thursday, Dec. 10. Make plans now to attend.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
