Save the date: Drama Production on Dec 7

Hello Families of Brant,

I am writing this update as I have a break in parent-teacher interviews. I must say that it is always nice to get the chance to meet face-to-face with you to chat about how your children are doing in their learning and just to catch up on news. Lots of exciting events are coming up in December, so be sure to record them on your calendar:)

*The December Calendar of Events can be found HERE

Grad Fundraiser: BAKE SALE
Thanks to all those who bought baking goods at parent-teacher meetings. It was a nice way to get your Christmas baking done while supporting this year’s grad celebrations.

Grad Fundraiser: Purdy's Chocolates
Christmas is right around the corner and planning for next spring’s grad is on its way as well!  This is an exciting time for our grads and they have the opportunity to fundraise for their graduation in June. ThisPurdy’s chocolate sale is an excellent addition to the grad fundraiser, especially just before Christmas!

Volleyball
Congrats goes out to the girls’ triple ball who made their inaugural season a memorable one by making the playoffs.  Hats off to Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Sommers for being great coaches!

Christmas Play
The play on Dec. 7th will start at 7:00pm and it's called "Arrest These Merry Gentlemen".  Students should be arriving at the school at 6:30pm that evening to get ready.  The dress rehearsal will be on Dec. 6 at 1:00pm and parents/family members can come and watch if they aren't able to make it for the evening performance. This play will include students performing from kindergarten to grade 6.  Kindergarten will not be present for the dress rehearsal.

Summary: Sergeant Joe Sabbath is charged with keeping the peace in the sleepy little town of Bethlehem, and she likes things QUIET!  When word reaches her that a band of rowdy shepherds is inbound from the fields outside of town, boisterously celebrating with wild tales of angels and such, she is determined to get to the bottom of this case!  Of course, what she discovers is no simple "disturbing the peace" beef.  It seems she's stumbled upon the caper that changed the world!

Christmas Concert
There will also be a Band/Choir/Strings Concert on December 14th at 7:00 pm for grade 5-12 students who participate in any of these musical groups.  Venue to be determined.

Hot Lunch
Just a reminder that hot lunches take place every Thursday.  Hot lunches rotate between hot dogs, taco in a bag, pizza, hamburgers, pulled pork and Subway sandwiches.  Orders for December are open with the deadline to accept being Monday, Dec. 4 www.schoolcashonline.com.

Volunteer Opportunities
Although we’ve had so many parents step up to help out already, there is still room for parents to volunteer.  Use the link below to sign up for volunteer opportunities: https://www.brantchristianschool.ca/for-bcs-families/volunteer-opportunities  Thanks so much for all the volunteers who contribute in so many ways.

Finally, feel free to reach out to me should you have any ideas or concerns, or just want to chat.

May God bless you as you seek to do His will,
Mr. Shain Chisholm, Principal
