Parent/Teacher Interviews

Hello Parents;

To those of you who were able to make it out to the annual general meeting, thank you for taking the time to come and support our school in this way. We had a very good turn-out and as promised, the meeting did not run for very long. Thank you to our board members for their service and great stewardship of the school's resources.

This coming Wednesday and Thursday evening are Parent/ Teacher meetings. This is your opportunity to talk with your children's teachers and find out how the first term went and what to expect in the upcoming term. Report cards will go home on Monday, November 21. A reminder that school is dismissed at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Nov. 24 to allow for more P/T time. On Thursday interviews will run from 2:15 PM and close down at 8:00 that evening.

December 1 will be our band concert night. There are several changes to this year's event. The first change is the location. The concert will take place at the High River Baptist Church starting at 7:00 PM. Those students performing will be students in kindergarten to grade 4 (vocally), band students in grades 5 - 12 and our junior/senior high choir. We are hoping that this change in venue will prove to be more convenient for most families and hopefully more comfortable!

The school play will take place on Thursday December 15 at the school and the curtain will rise at 7:00 PM. We encourage all families to come out and enjoy the production and then stay around for some hot chocolate or apple cider and some goodies.

A new event for Brant this year will be the outdoor presentation on the Nativity Story. This will take place at Sheppard Park in High River. The event will run for 3 nights, Dec. 8, 9, 10 with the performance starting each evening at 7 PM. It is a very short play lasting only 20 minutes so please plan to stay and join us in  the "Red Barn" on site for some hot chocolate. This would be a great event to invite your neighbours and friends to. It's short and there's food involved. It doesn't get much better!

The High River Santa Clause Parade is on Friday, December 2 and our school float will be part of the parade. Make plans to come out and join in the celebration. It is always such a great community event.

The volleyball season is now over at Brant. Our senior boys finished off the season playing in a zone tournament in Lethbridge where they placed 4th. Thank you to all the parents and fans who travelled to Lethbridge to cheer us on. Congratulations to our boys for their commitment and dedication to another successful year.
