October theme

On Monday we introduced our students to 3 new unsung heroes of the Bible. For October we will be looking at the lives of Naomi, Ruth and Boaz. We will be emphasizing the importance of faithfulness and commitment as we examine how Ruth's dedication to Naomi allowed their lives to go from despair to celebration. One of the more familiar verses of the Bible and one that is often paraphrased at weddings is found n the first chapter of the book of Ruth in verse 16 where Ruth pledges her commitment to Naomi; "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will sty. Your people will be my people and your God my god." Please take the time to read all 4 chapters of the book of Ruth and come to realize the significance of a kinsman redeemer.

Last Thursday we took our high school students to the corn maze. For those of you who have not gone yet, plan to take your family next summer when it opens. They have a lot more than just a corn field. Our students enjoyed themselves..
