Merry Christmas

Hello Parents;

This will be my last posting until the new year and I wanted to wish all of you a blessed Christmas. My prayer is that each of you will experience the joy and peace of Christmas as we celebrate God's ultimate gift, salvation.

Last Thursday was of course the highlight of the season with our school concert. Thank you to our singers, actors and musicians for their excellent performances. I was very pleased with how our students performed. Thank you as well to the staff who helped but the concert together and to our sound and lighting crew for all the work that they did. It was good to see the gym so full and that many people stayed around to visit. It is this atmosphere of community that makes Brant so special.

For this coming week, our high school students will be helping with the High River Salvation Army pack Christmas hampers. We have a small group going in Monday and Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday, we are having a special Christmas chapel, all grades together, at 2:30 pm.  Parents are welcome to join us! With Thursday being our last day before the Christmas holidays, the afternoon will be a time of celebration. To start with, Thursday is pajama day. The afternoon starts off with a visit from Santa Claus and our school wide secret Santa gift exchange. Following this, each class will have their own celebration going on.

Now that colder weather has returned our skating rink is accessible. We are anticipating a busy week of skating and hockey. We now have lights for the rink and any family who would like to use it over the holiday for a family and neighbour get together please let the school know so we can have the light on for you.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
