Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all our Brant families! Thanksgiving weekend is not only a great time to reflect on our blessings as we gather with family, but also a chance for us to give praise to God for who He is and what He is doing. As a staff we are very thankful for the ways we are seeing God work in our students.  And most of all, we are thankful for the privilege of educating your children.

We have finished a very busy week here at Brant. Elementary track and field was on Tuesday, where they had beautiful weather for their time at Southern Alberta Bible Camp. We also had our first hot lunch of the year, and it was great seeing the volunteers who came in to get us all fed! Much appreciation to you!

Picture day was on Thursday too, and I loved seeing all of our students in their very best for their class photos. Most importantly,  I want to say a huge thank you to our volunteers who were with us all day, Marie LeBlanc and Brittany Riddle who helped keep us organized, got all the kids arranged for photos, and in general acted as great hosts for our photographers. We could not have done it without you!

A few reminders:

  • The Silent Auction early bird price ends Saturday, October 8th. Get your tickets for what is going to be an amazing time for our community to come together for an evening of fabulous food, fun and joy.

  • Our board is meeting on Tuesday, Oct 11th. The first half hour is set aside for parent council, and I encourage anyone who wants to participate in our PAC to come. There will also be information about the winter mission trip.

  • Apple orders are due on Wednesday Oct 12th. Please send in any complete orders on Tuesday to help us with collecting and organization. Also, each apple order should have a single payment made out to Brant so our school can send one payment to Davison Orchards. Thank you!

  • Next week we are off on Monday, which means we are here Tuesday to  Friday.

Be sure to check out the Family Gratitude Plan Mr. Kroeker shared with our students this week, which I thought had some great ideas around incorporating gratitude into our lives. I am grateful for the verse the grade 1/2 class shared with me this week - Psalm 136:1 “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is Good. His Love endures forever!” May you know His goodness this weekend as you give thanks for His blessings. Amen
