Great Start

Hello Parents;

Thank you to everyone who was able to come out last Tuesday to our pancake breakfast and for your patience while waiting for food. The first week went very well. It was good to see the excitement of our students as they got together with their friends. For half of our students, they are in a new class which always brings a little nervous anticipation.

Events to be aware of for this week; students in grades 3 - 9 will be practicing for a cross-country meet on Monday, September 24, student council elections will be held this week. All high school students are encouraged to run for one of the main offices. Student reps will be selected for grade 7/8 and 5/6. This Friday, September 14, we will be going to the Calgary Corn Maze. Permission forms were sent home last week. The cost is $10 and the event is for all students K - 12. We will leave from the school once the buses arrive and will return to the school by 3:30.

Practices for volleyball got underway last week. Our senior girls will play in their first tournament of the year this coming weekend in Black Diamond. Action for our other teams will start later in September. The choir will start this week at noon on Thursday. This is open to all students in grades 7-12 and is led by Pastor Tim Korthuis.

Please contact the school if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
