Graduation time

Hello Parents;

A quick summary of last week includes our sports day on Friday. Thank you to all our parent volunteers who came out and made the day so much fun for our students. This day is a highlight of the year for many of our students and your help made the day a success. The weather cooperated enough that we were able to get all of the activities done. A special thank you to Mr. Doerksen for all the effort he puts into this event. He is the prime organizer for this. We just wish he could get a little more enthused about the day!

The Brant Christian annual golf tournament took place on Saturday at the Nanton Golf Course. We had 79 golfers out this year which is a good turn-out. Thank you to all who participated. It is always a fun day and a good way to stay in touch with people who have been or are connected to our school. The golf committee consists of Bob Hardcastle, Ray Kooistra and Jason Doerksen. Thank you to these men and all the other volunteers who worked to make this tournament a success.

This week is focused on our graduating class. On Wednesday we will hold our grad chapel where the other students get to "honour" our grade 12 students and we do let them know how much we much we will miss them. The chapel gets underway at 1:00 PM and is open to all guests. The official graduation will take place on Friday at the High River Baptist Church. The banquet starts at 5 PM and the ceremony at 7:00 PM in the church sanctuary. All are welcome to the ceremony. The banquet is by invitation only.

On Saturday, June 15, our school house float will be in the Okotoks parade. Please be sure to wave as we pass by. If you have a son/daughter that will be in kindergarten at Brant next year and would like them to ride in the float, please contact the school for more information.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
