Christmas is right around the corner and planning for next spring’s grad is on its way as well!  This is an exciting time for our grads and they have the opportunity to fundraise for their graduation in June. ThisPurdy’s chocolate sale is an excellent addition to the grad fundraiser, especially just before Christmas!

Hot Lunch
Just a reminder that hot lunches take place every Thursday.  Hot lunches rotate between hot dogs, taco in a bag, pizza, hamburgers, pulled pork and Subway sandwiches.  If you wish to order hot lunch for November, please order through www.schoolcashonline.com by Monday, October 30th.

Creation Ministries 
Creation Ministries are coming to Brant on Friday, Nov 17th.  There will be three separate age-specific presentations with Grades 1-4 at 9:15, Grades 5-8 at 10:15 and Grades 9-12 at 12:30.  Parents are invited to attend.  We are asking adults to let us know if they plan to attend so we can set up the venue to accommodate the right amount of people. Please see the flyer attached to this email.

Free and Free (Grade 5 and 6s)  
The High River Rec Centre (Snodgrass) is offering a free yearly pass for Grade 5s and individual free passes for Grade 6s. Be sure to drop by the rec centre and get your FREE pass (Grade 5s) and FREE individual passes (Grade 6s).

Volleyball
Our girls triple ball schedule is underway with strong performances of our girls against Cayley and Westmount.  The junior boys are off to the Prairie Christian Academy tournament in Three Hills on Oct. 27 & 28. The junior boys and girls have their last league game Tuesday, October 31 with the boys playing at Notre Dame Collegiate and the girls at Highwood High School. Both games begin at 3:45.  In league playoff action, our senior boys and girls lost out in two hard fought matches while the junior varsity boys defeated Holy Trinity Academy in their first round playoff game.  The JV boys will take on Foothills Composite High on October 26 at 6:00 pm at the “Comp” in the league semi-final.  Go Eagles, Go!

Auction
Thanks to everyone who brought in auction items. The deadline has passed to submit items, but you can still make a financial donation to the cause at https://www.brantchristianschool.ca/fund-raisers/make-a-financial-donation. Thank you for your support of this important fundraising event!

Also, if you have grade 7 -12 students in your household who are free on the day of the auction (Sat. Nov. 4), encourage them to volunteer either as babysitters or at the auction itself. Sign up here: volunteersignup.org/3JL38

Lifetouch Photo Order
School picture proofs should have come home with students earlier this week.  Information to order online was enclosed in the proof envelope.  Deadline for online orders is Oct. 31st.  If you are wanting to send in a paper order with cheque or cash please ensure it is into the school office by Monday at the latest as we will be shipping any orders that come in on that day.  A reminder as well that class pictures are not automatically included for all students this year.  They are free if a package is ordered, but if you do not want to order a photo package, the cost for just a class photo is $9.99.  Please see your Lifetouch proof envelope for more information.  Thank you.
