Elementary Christmas Concert

Hello Parents;

Our Elementary Christmas choir and play presentation will take place this Thursday at Brant Christian. We will get underway at 7:00 PM. Students in K - 4 will be singing and our grade 5/6 class will be presenting a Christmas play. As well, our junior high praise band will be performing. We would appreciate anyone who is able, to bring some Christmas baking with them. The school will be providing hot chocolate and apple cider after the presentation. Please plan to stay and join us as we celebrate Christmas.

Brant Christian was in last Friday's High River Santa Claus parade. We have a little school house that we pull behind a truck. Thank you to all the students who walked the route giving out candy, to our younger students who rode inside the float and to Chad Niemans and Jon Kielstra for bringing the float and having it ready. Being in the parade is an excellent way of raising the awareness of people about Brant Christian. An organizer said that the High River parade is the largest Santa Claus parade in Canada. This year there were 94 entries and for those who were at the event, I am sure it seemed longer.

Brant was able to find a coach for our junior high co-ed basketball team. Practices begin this Thursday at the High River Baptist Church starting at 4:30.

Brant 140 is a slogan that you will be hearing about as we enter 2019. Our enrollment this year is 129 students. We would like to have at least 140 students for the next school year. Our most successful way of promoting Brant Christian is through our parents, students and alumni. We will be encouraging everyone to make this the year when you go out of your way to let other families know about the benefits of having your children in a Christian school. Students up to and including grade 11 are taught by teachers and not on-line while our grade 12 are close to being half time in front of a teacher and half on-line. A Christian school is one of the best ways of strengthening the church by developing strong, well-grounded young people in a Christian worldview.

Hopefully we will see many of you this week at the elementary Christmas celebration. Please remember the baking.

Thank you,

Kevin
