Online Silent Auction Now Open for Bidding

Hello Families of Brant,

Well, it’s that time again.  Time for the annual Brant Auction! The Brant 50’s Theme Auction will take place at the Memorial Center in High River (128 5 Ave SW) this Saturday, November 4.  The doors open at 5 pm with the official welcome at 5:30 and supper served shortly afterwards.  The program will start at 8 pm. If you were unable to purchase a ticket to attend, you can still participate in the auction by placing your online bids through the following link:

Thank you to all the 7 -12 student volunteers for helping out. Volunteers need to be at the Memorial Centre by 4:30 pm. Thanks again to everyone who donated and we look forward to a  “swinging” good time.

Volleyball Playoffs and Zones
Our junior varsity boys team will be playing at Edison for the league championship tonight. If you have a chance, come cheer on our boys.  A big shout of encouragement goes out to our junior and senior high boys and girls volleyball teams as they prepare for playoffs and zones on November 3 & 4 (juniors) and November 16-18 (seniors) if the seniors win their challenge matches. Finally, our triple ball girls will wrap up a very successful season where every week saw great improvement. Congrats on a great first season.

November Dress Up Day, November 7
This coming Tuesday, November 7, students are invited to dress up as their favorite biblical character. If students already have a costume that is not in a biblical theme, they are welcome to wear that costume. We ask, however, that students do not wear costumes that depict violence and/or gore.

Remembrance Day Ceremony
This year our Remembrance Day Ceremony will begin at 10:50 sharp on Wednesday, Nov 8, with our special guest being Major John Mahon. If you would like to attend, we would ask that you arrive and be seated no later than 10:40.

Once again the High River Legion has provided poppies for students to wear to commemorate the contribution of our armed forces.  We do encourage students to take a poppy, but also that they provide a small donation to support our veterans. The poppy box is available in the school office.

Grad Fundraiser
Christmas is right around the corner and planning for next spring’s grad is on its way as well!  This is an exciting time for our grads and they have the opportunity to fundraise for their graduation in June. ThisPurdy’s chocolate sale is an excellent addition to the grad fundraiser, especially just before Christmas!

Creation Ministries
Creation Ministries are coming to Brant on Friday, Nov 17th.  There will be three separate age-specific presentations with Grades 1-4 at 9:15, Grades 5-8 at 10:15 and Grades 9-12 at 12:30.  Parents are invited to attend.  We are asking adults to let us know if they plan to attend so we can set up the venue to accommodate the right amount of people.

Volunteer Opportunities
Although we’ve had so many parents step up to help out already, there is still room for parents to volunteer.  Use the link below to sign up for volunteer opportunities: https://www.brantchristianschool.ca/for-bcs-families/volunteer-opportunities  Thanks so much for all the volunteers who contribute in so many ways.

Picture Retakes
School picture retakes will take place on Thursday, November 9.  Please let Mrs. Massey know if your child(ren) will be needing retakes if you haven’t already done so.

Parent Teacher Conferences
PTC’s are open for booking at https://brantchristianschool.schoolappointments.com.  Please see Mrs. Massey’s email from Oct. 31st for how to book.

May God bless you as you seek to do His will,
