Basketball coach needed

Hello Parents;

Thank you to everyone who attended our junior/senior high choir and band concert and especially to everyone who brought baking with them. It was an enjoyable evening and it was great that most of you were able to stay and socialize afterwards. We appreciate the support of our graduates for those who were able to purchase some of the baked goods that were for sale.

We are looking for a junior high basketball coach for this season. This would be for a co-ed team of some very enthusiastic players. Practices would take place in High River at the Baptist church on a day that would be convenient for the coach. The season is relatively short. Practices could start in December with games being played starting in January and wrapping up late February. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to volunteer for the position.

The next event for Brant will be our elementary school Christmas concert. This will take place at Brant Christian on Thursday, December 13 starting at 7:00. Our students in grades K - 4 will be singing and our students will also be putting on a Christmas play.

This coming Friday, our school float is entered in the High River Santa Claus parade. Older students are welcome to walk the parade route with the float and hand out candy while students in K - 2 are welcome to ride in our float. If you would like your son/daughter to ride in the float please contact me at school. We will get underway at 6:00 PM and should be finished by 7:30 - 8:00.

Our slogan for next year, "Brant 140" involves everyone connected to Brant Christian. We know that they are many people in our area who would benefit from being part of our Christian education program. We are asking everyone to share with a friend the fantastic opportunities that exist at Brant Christian. Next year, our enrollmentĀ  can easily top 140 students. We want to start growing now in preparation for our move to the our new school.

Starting on Monday we will begin our celebration of Christmas with the lighting of the first candle in our Advent wreath. The prophet Isaiah foretold the coming of Christ centuries before he was born in Bethlehem and yet Isaiah was able to describe in great detail the arrival of Jesus as well as his death. What a blessing Christmas is and what a gift that was given to us.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
