March Reminders

Hello to all our Brant families.

Can you believe it's March already? February flew by in a wink, and now we are into longer days, an upcoming time change (March 12th) with report cards just around the corner. March is a busy month!

We also had our open house this week. There were a number of families who came to check out our school who left having seen the great programs we have and with many remarking about the feeling of peace they had while doing their tour. All praise goes to God for covering our property in His peace! And a huge thank you to the volunteers and staff who stayed late to show off our school.

A few reminders:

  • Report cards are coming home on the 27th, which means parent teacher interviews are happening on the 29th and 30th. Sign up for an interview time here: https://brantchristianschool.schoolappointments.com/

  • At the same time as the interviews, we have our annual Scholastic Book Fair on at the school. Come down and find a new favorite book! All funds go to support our library.

  • If you have been missing that hat/toque/set of gloves, then come check out the lost and found table. We will have it set up for our interview nights.

  • With the colder weather we expect to have the rink for at least another week, likely two. Please ensure your child has gloves and snow pants, along with their skates and helmet.

  • Mission Trip parents: BOTH Palliser and YWAM permission/consent forms need to be in as soon as possible. Please submit them if you have not done so already. If anyone requires a copy, they can request them from the office. Thank you!

Volunteer Corner

We are looking for a parent with sewing skills to repair 6-10 grad gowns where the stitching has come out at the bottom beside the zipper. Sign up at volunteersignup.org/LTXWF

Volunteers are needed for the teacher meals on the parent teacher interview nights. If you can help, please sign up at: volunteersignup.org/MQJLF

One thing that struck me this week was when I was standing outside the kindergarten room listening to the students learn The Lord’s Prayer. Hearing Mrs. Niemans guiding them on why they pray and on why Jesus taught us to pray this way filled my heart with joy. I see this regularly as classes are led by their teachers in devotions or talking with them about issues that are important to the students. As we make our way towards Easter next month, these are the things that make Brant Christian such a blessing to be part of.

May the joy of Christ be with you this weekend. Grace and peace.
