Praying for our Grads

Hello to all our wonderful Brant families!

It was a very full week, and we aren’t even done everything yet! Spring Concert, Grad Chapel, Kindergarten Orientation, Grad and Golf Tournament all in a 5 day period! There were so many highlights, it is hard to identify a favorite moment (though the collective prayer time for our grad was pretty awesome). What I was most proud of was how well the students handled the late nights, the heat and still met the high standard of behavior they have shown all year long.

There are a few things to remember for the coming weeks.

•Next week is a five day week, so please be sure you remember to send your student on Friday.

•Our ELA 30 students have their written portion of the diploma exam on the 12th, while Social 30 students have theirs on the 13th.

•For our junior and senior high students, next week is the last week of regular classes. These are the exam dates for our 7-9s (we will send out the high school dates next week)

◦June 19th - Science

◦June 20th - English Language Arts

◦June 22nd - Math

◦June 23rd - Math Part B for 6 & 9

◦June 26th - Social Studies

•All field trip forms for the June 21st field trips were due to the office this past week. Please contact Mrs. Massey Monday morning if you missed this deadline

The girls rugby team is competing today, and I want to wish them all the best as they strive to gain a berth in provincials on Saturday. They have worked very hard all year, and we hope they can reach their goal, but regardless we are proud of what they have achieved! Go Mustangs!

I am attaching a chart with the results from an Our School Survey. These surveys are done every year to identify areas of strength and ways we can improve the educational experience at Brant. The questions asked ranged from school culture, physical health to social and emotional health which give us a comparison to equivalent schools in Canada. The surveys are completely anonymous and are helpful data when combined with the Accountability Pillar information. There are standard questions in the survey given to our junior and senior high about drug, tobacco and alcohol use, which is why these categories show up here. I am pleased to say that Brant lines up very well against comparable schools, and the results reflect the great students who attend here.

Over the course of the weekend I look forward to interacting with many of you at either the grad or golf tournament. But if I do not see you, however you spend your time this weekend, I pray God’s peace and grace in all you do.

Quinn Barreth, Principal
