Weekly Reminders

A warm greeting to all our wonderful families!

We had a great week together, with lots going on in the classrooms. Whether it was the arctic games with Mr. Chisholm, a virtual visit from the Rothney Observatory’s astrophysicists in grade 5/6 science or Mrs. Anderson taking her students through Hamlet, learning was happening in many different ways. It is always so encouraging to see students so engaged in their learning at all levels. This week was especially fun for me as I got to read with the 1/2 class about crayons going on strike. The students and I sure laughed as we read that book.

It was great to have the Gideons provide Bibles for our students this week, represented by Mr. Greidanus, grandfather to three of our students. He visited with the 5/6 class, spoke with them and distributed Bibles. It was a deeply appreciated visit from a member of a family who has a long history at Brant.

Reminders:

  • Coming up on March 21 we are going to participate in Rock your Socks Day. This is a great day to wear crazy or mismatched socks and will be a fun community event celebrating World Down Syndrome Day.

  • If parents have pictures from the ski day, please send them to either Mr. D or Mr. Kroeker so we can include them in our yearbook. Thank you!

  • Don’t forget to set your clocks forward this weekend. Make sure you aren’t late for the bus on Monday by springing forward Saturday night.

  • Registration is up and we are seeing a strong renewal from our returning families. Be sure to have your registration completed before the end of March, as the registration fee goes up at the end of April. Here is the link for registration, if you need it https://form.jotform.com/220517302951246

I wish you all a wonderful weekend. Enjoy the sunshine and the time you have with your family. God bless you.

Quinn Barreth, Principal
