Merry Christmas

Hello Parents;

For those who were able to attend Thursday's elementary concert, I am sure that you enjoyed the fine performance displayed by our students. A big thank you to Miss Wolfe and Mrs. Nauta for all the work they put into getting the students ready. Recognition goes out to Mrs. Brunning, Mr. Doerksen and Mr. Kroeker for their roles in the evening performance as well.

With one week to go before we stop to celebrate Christmas, the routine at the school changes a bit. We will meet every morning in the gym this week to sing Christmas carols. On Monday we will light our 3rd advent candle, the 4th on Thursday morning and the Christ candle on Thursday afternoon at our closing. The schedule for Thursday is different. We start the morning off with our students doing devotions in their family groups and then singing some Christmas carols. The remainder of the morning will then be classes as scheduled. In the afternoon we will have our school wide gift exchange before students go off to their individual class parties. By the way, Thursday is pajama day at school! At 3:15 we will gather in the gym for the lighting of the Christ candle and listen to a special string performance by Karen Dees, Suzanne Pendree and Terry Lee, all are parents at Brant. Students will be dismissed at 3:30 to gather up their belongings from their classrooms and tidy their rooms up before leaving for their Christmas break.

There will be sadness at Brant on Thursday as we say goodbye to Allison, Sara and Levia Johnson. Their dad, Pastor Jason from the High River Baptist Church has taken the role of pastor at a church in Summerland BC. We will miss the girls tremendously and wish them all the best in their new home.

The staff at Brant Christian want to wish each of our families and alumni a very blessed Christmas. Our prayer is for your safety and rest over this very special holiday. We trust that you will be able to spend time with as many family members as possible. We look forward to seeing our students back in school on January 7, 2019. May God bless you over Christmas.
