End of Season

Hello Parents;

This week wraps up the volleyball season at Brant Christian. Our senior boys played in their zone tournament in Lethbridge and their experience was what athletic competition is about. They went from a tremendous high on Friday to a devastating low on Saturday when they lost in the final match. And yet, they need to pick themselves up and keep moving forward even though the loss was painful. There will be other days to compete but it is important that we learn from our losses as well as our wins. We are very proud of our senior boys and the dedication and hard work that they put into their season. To the team, coaches and parents, who travelled so much this year, thank you.

First term report cards will be going home on Monday and parent/teacher meetings will take place on Wednesday (4-8 Pm) and Thursday.(2:15 - 8 PM) If you have not booked your meeting times with the teachers, please contact Cathy to see what time slots may be available.

We are starting to make preparations for the Christmas season.Props are appearing on stage for this year's production of "A Christmas Carol." Our Christmas concert on November 28 includes the following groups; all students from K - 4, our grade 5/6 band students, 7-12 band member, jr./sr. choir, strings ensemble, small choir and our praise and worship bands. The concert will start at 7:00. There will be hot chocolate and apple cider and Christmas baking for everyone and of course our grad students will be having their annual bake sale. Proceeds go towards covering the cost of the grade 12 graduation.

Please remember our AGM on Tuesday November 26. It will be held at the Christian Reformed Church in High River. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM.

Our high school students continue to make plans for their mission trip to Mexico to build houses. We are in need of financial support to cover the cost of the house build. The students are willing to work for the donations. Please contact the school if you are able to assist our students.

We need your prayers and encourage you to pray for our school on a daily basis. Thank you for your ongoing support.

Kevin Bailey
