New school, Concert and food!

Hello Parents;

The upcoming week will be a busy one for us at school. Our grade 7/8 students are off to a track meet in Vulcan on Tuesday. We will leave Brant at 8:30 AM and be back in time to catch the bus rides home. On Wednesday, we have a double-header in the evening. Starting at 6:00 in the High River Baptist Church gymnasium is a Brant society meeting about the direction of our new school. It is vital that at least one parent from each family be in attendance to hear what our board wants to share about the direction of Brant Christian School.

Following the board meeting our Spring concert will get underway at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary of the Baptist church. Our elementary choir composed of K - 4 students under the direction of Rachel Nauta will lead off this portion of the evening, followed by our jr./sr. high choir and closing out with our grade 5/6 band and then ourĀ  7 - 12 band.

Here is where the food comes in. We would appreciate it if each family could bring some baking with them so that we can have a pot luck gathering after the concert. The juice will be provided. Please plan to stay and socialize for a while. If all goes as planned, the concert should end shortly after 8 which would allow time to stay and snack and still get home at a decent hour.

Our high school students who spent the week in Ottawa arrived home safely last night. By all reports, their time in Ottawa was enjoyable, the accommodations were great and the walking was bearable. It was an excellent opportunity for our students to get a glimpse into what goes on in our nation's capital and to share this with their friends.

The enrollment for next year is looking strong and we still have prospective students coming by to spend a day at Brant. If you know of anyone who is planning on sending their children to our school next year please encourage them to enroll in June rather than over the summer months. We thank you for your prayers. Please keep our board members in your prayers as they try to plan what is the best route for our school to take.

We will see you on Wednesday!

Thank you,

Kevin
