New school update

Hello Parents;

Progress is being made towards our new school. A building committee has been formed and they have been busy meeting and laying down their guidelines and contacting various builders to get quotes and outlines for our new school. We have a website setup for our new school. If you would like to take a look the address is: www.foothillschristianacademy.ca  As details get finalized we will let you know and keep you as informed as possible. We hope to have a sign up on the new property by June of this year.

I was visiting the Evangelical Free Church in Okotoks this Sunday promoting Brant Christian. The most common question was when will the new school be open. There is a lot of interest in Christian education and once we are closer to the towns of High River and Okotoks, our school will grow significantly. I will be at the Okotoks Alliance church next Sunday and the High River Baptist Church the Sunday after that.

What a beautiful week last week! Our play fields are almost completely snow free and the students were enjoying the freedom of lighter jackets and boots. Badminton wrapped up on Friday with our high school students competing in a zone tournament. Although many performed well none were able to qualify for the provincial tournament. We start our last sport of the year on Tuesday. Track and Field gets underway with practices taking place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of each week.

Important dates to keep in mind for the month of May; the band/choir concert will take place on Wednesday, May 16 at the High River Baptist church. Start time is 7:00 PM. Our spring drama production will perform on Friday, May 25 at school. The curtain goes up at 7:00 PM. If you ordered hanging baskets, they will be delivered on Thursday May 24. You can pick up your plants at the High River Baptist church gymnasium starting at 3:00 PM.

Please continue to pray for our school and for those parents who have agreed to sit on committees for our new school. God has richly blessed Brant Christian and he will continue to do so if we are faithful.
