Sports Day Fun!

Good afternoon to our wonderful Brant families! As I write this, I am recovering from the fun of Sports Day, my first ever! It was an amazing event, supported and carried out by many members of our community. I am especially grateful for all the hard work put in by our staff (especially Mr. D!) to organize events, and ensure there were enough materials for all activities. A special thank you to all our wonderful parent volunteers who came to serve today. Whether you helped play games, helped herd the students around, or feed the hungry, we couldn’t have done the day without you!

As we head into this last month (already?!?) there seems to be something happening nearly every day. The big events are around grad, with our chapel happening on Monday at the school and the ceremony on June 10th at High River Baptist. This is a real milestone and I am excited for all our graduates and their families.

Reminders:

  • June 10th - PD day off for students,

  • June 11th is the golf tournament. Check with Mr D if you are still interested or have any items to donate

  • June 14th our annual Spring Concert at High River Baptist Church. We encourage you to come out and see all our students have accomplished this year!

  • June 18th is the Okotoks parade. We are looking for student volunteers to ride on or walk with the float. As well, we need a grand marshal for our float, someone who would be willing to pull the float with their truck or tractor. Please contact Mrs. Massey to let us know if you can help.

  • June 28th is the year-end BBQ. If you haven’t already, please let us know of your attendance and your food preference here so we can make sure to have enough on hand.

  • All Gr. 5-8 students require a Brant gym strip.  If you have a student going into grade 5 or a student who requires a new gym strip, please complete this form by June 20th. Gym strips are $36.00/set  and charged at the beginning of the new school year.

Over the years, we have accumulated a few extra things at Brant. As we grow, these extras are adding to our space squeeze, and so we would like to be able to clean out the old to make room for the new before the year is over. If you have a trailer that could be brought here for us to add broken, or unneeded items, could you please contact the office and let us know. We would like to do this later in the month, before we go on break, to ensure we have more room in the new year. Thank you!

And as you head into the weekend, I want to wish you and your family a blessed and restorative time. May God’s peace rest on you, and we look forward to seeing your children next week!
