Winter's chill

Hello Parents;

I hope that this post finds you warm and safe. I was hoping that we would be able to avoid a deep freeze like we are presently in, but no luck. The good thing about this cold snap is that once this is over, this will likely be our last one of the year. The additional daylight that we are now getting is a positive reminder that spring will be here soon.

This coming week is a chapel week at Brant. Mrs. Brunning will be speaking twice on Monday. Once to our grade 9 - 12's and once to our grade 6 - 8's. On Wednesday she will be speaking to the younger classes.

The second semester is off to a good start. We have had two new families join our school in the last week. It is always exciting to have new students in the school and they are fitting in very well. We are planning on having an open house in late March to introduce new families to Brant Christian. More information will be coming out in late February-early March. Our next parent/teacher meetings will take place on March 17/18. There is a parent newsletter coming out this week with details on how to book your interview times. We would love to have you come in person but you do have the option to have a phone call with the teachers.

There will be no school next week. Monday is a holiday, our calendar indicates we have Tuesday/Wednesday off and as teachers, we have our annual teacher's convention on Thursday/Friday. Once that week is over we are then into the last week of February!

It is especially important this week that you check to make sure that your children have their mitts and hats with them. Being outside, for even a little while, and not dressed for it, can be dangerous. Please continue to keep Brant Christian in your prayers. As a staff, we pray for our parents and your children on a daily basis.

Thank you,

Kevin Bailey
