Brant Christian annual auction
Posted on October 26th, 2019
For the upcoming week the highlight will be our annual silent/live auction being held on Saturday, November 2. If you haven't purchased your tickets already, please do so by this Monday as we need to let our caterers know how many will be in attendance. The cost for tickets is $50. It is a very fun evening and a great way to support our school.
The actors have now been chosen and rehearsals are underway for the school play, "A Christmas Carol." The performance will take place at Brant Christian on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 PM. The school concert will be taking place at the High River Baptist Church on Thursday, Nov. 28 with a start time of 7:00 PM.
While your children were home on Thursday and Friday of last week, the teachers were in Sherwood Park participating in a teachers conference. As a member school of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) a teacher's conference is held once a year. It is an excellent opportunity for us to listen to Christian keynote speakers and attend workshops that benefit us and your children once we are back in the classroom. It is encouraging for us as well to be around other Christian educators and share experiences while at the conference.
In our absence, our society board took advantage of an empty school to replace some of the blocking under one of our high school portables. It will be good to have a level floor again in the south portable.
Our senior high girls volleyball team were in Picture Butte this weekend playing in a volleyball tournament while our junior boys were just north of Okotoks, playing at St. Francis of Assissi in a weekend long tournament. As always, thank you to the coaches who give up so much of their time to work with our students and to the parents who do so much driving. You are the foundation of our sports program and we appreciate your spirit of helpfulness.
Please continue to pray for Brant Christian as we will be seeing some big changes coming soon to our little school. Details of these changes will be presented at the AGM on Nov. 26 at the Christian Reform Church in High River. Start time is 7 PM and i am expecting to see all families represented at the meeting.
